Surrounded by open countryside and with over 15 acres of playing fields and landscaped areas. Townsend has one of the city’s most attractive school sites. The school has benefited from many refurbishments and improvements over recent years, resulting in good accommodation and resources.

Travel to Townsend School is simple and convenient.
The school is well-served by busses, and students travel from all parts of St Albans and surrounding towns and villages including Hemel Hempstead, Harpenden and Wheathampstead, Hatfield and Radlett. Most school buses set down and collect students in the safety of the school grounds.
