Below is a written description of the event by Faith D:
‘On Monday a group of children went to the Cathedral to see author Cressida Cowell explain the motivation behind her books and the importance of reading and writing. Cressida is the author of many well-known children’s books including, how to train your dragon and the wizards of once. Her holidays on an uninhabited island off the west coast of Scotland inspires her magical stories and she believes that anyone can become an author if they try their very hardest. The children had a lovely time out and were encouraged by her message.’

Well done!
Last week our students were able to take part in a Masterclass where they came up with their own film pitches in groups, yesterday they had the chance to film their pitches in the XR Studios! They also had the opportunity to find out about the films and TV series that are filmed at Sky and they also attended a careers workshop where they found out about the huge number of different job roles available at Sky Studios.
