Townsend Church of England School works collaboratively with a number of partnerships, groups and organisations. Our partnerships include Loreto College, St Albans Girls’ School, Samuel Ryder Academy and The Marlborough Science Academy and these links have enabled our students to access courses most suited to their individual needs and to access outstanding facilities and specialist resources that cannot be found within a single organisation.

We have a long association with St Albans Cathedral and Abbey Church and there are four annual services held in the Cathedral that all pupils attend each year.
We have been working with Jane Swim, Little Fishes, Pool2Lake, Waterbabies, Waterworth Swim and Yellow Submarine for many years, providing use of our 25 metre heated indoor swimming pool to deliver a range of swimming lessons to the local community. We are now delighted to be working with St Albans City Youth FC and Watford Girls Academy FC to provide the use of our well maintained grounds and grass football pitches.
Supporting others in our local community and beyond is something that we are very passionate about and links with our ‘Respect for All’ policy. We have numerous fundraising events each year to support global charities and donate to other charities as much as possible. We encourage our students to participate in events within our local community.
