Walk and Eat Trip
On Monday some of our Year 10 and 9 students visited Spitalfields Market as part of their Food Tech course. The food tasting and walking tour consisted of 6 different stops.
The 6 food stops included:
Salt beef or smoked salmon bagel (from the old Jewish Quarter)
- Chocolate truffles from a lady called Nyanga who is from Ghana
- To drink, a very popular hot chocolate
- Samosa, Pakora, Bhaji or Paneer rolls from Raj Mahal which opened in 1979
- Sri-Lanken street food
- Artisanal doughnuts
Our students also explored and learnt about parts of Old Victorian London that haven’t been touched for over a hundred and fifty years to the very eclectic Brick Lane. Our students were able to try lots of different and interesting food with interesting facts along the way and of course enjoy the sunshine!
