Ready for a Challenge?
Are you in Year 10 or Year 12 and looking to do something amazing this year?
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, take on challenges, help your community and create unforgettable memories with friends.
- Year 10 students can sign up for the Bronze Award
- Year 12 students can sign up for the Silver Award
To complete your award, you’ll take part in four sections:
π Physical β improve in a sport or fitness activity
π€ Volunteering β give back to your community
π― Skills β develop a talent or learn something new
π₯Ύ Expedition β plan, train and complete an adventurous journey
DofE is a long-term commitment, and you’ll need to dedicate around four extra hours each week across the different sections. It requires determination and commitment, but the rewards are well worth it!
Bronze Training Starts After Half Term
If you’re signing up for the Bronze Award, training sessions will begin after half term and will take place every Tuesday from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
Students will receive more information during an upcoming assembly, and details for parents and carers will be sent out shortly.
Whether you want to build confidence, gain new experiences, make a difference in your community, or challenge yourself to achieve something special, DofE could be for you.
Are you ready to step outside your comfort zone and take on the challenge? π
