Sixth Form Admissions – How to Apply
Choosing your Post-16 choices can be a daunting task. Whether you are already at Townsend school or considering joining us from a different school, we can offer a broad range of A Levels and Vocational subjects alongside excellent personal development and enrichment opportunities.
Townsend Sixth Form is part of the Alban Learning Partnership and together can offer a wide variety of courses on-site or within the consortium.
Townsend Sixth Form is inclusive and diverse. There are no restrictions on applying to our Sixth Form except for meeting the entry requirements for each subject you choose.

How to Apply
Please fill out our Online application form and submit it before Friday, 30th January 2025.
Applications received after will be accepted but may not be used to plan the curriculum offer.
External Applicants
Choosing a Sixth Form at a different school from the one you studied at can be stressful. Our Sixth Form team are here to meet with you to discuss transfer to Townsend Sixth Form.
Once enrolled, you will have the full support of the form tutor, teachers and Head of Sixth Form. In addition, you will be invited for a tour of the school and to join our induction days so that you can start to mix with other students. To help you settle into the school, you will be given a buddy, who will normally be studying the same subject as you.
