Enrichment Afternoon – Tuesday 26th November
On Tuesday next week we have our first enrichment afternoon of the year – it is an exciting afternoon full of interesting and purposeful learning activities for all our year groups.
All students are off normal timetables for periods 3-5, break and lunchtimes are as normal. They will be in their form/year groups carrying out a range of activities as outlined below:
Year 7 – Wellbeing/spirituality – group activities linked to the topic of “Banter of Bullying”, a session on CPR and a taster session for Youth Alpha to discuss some big life questions.
Year 8 – Literacy – oracy strategies, presentational language and skills through discussion tasks, debating ideas and final presentations
Year 9 – Careers and destinations – external speaker about careers in Media, followed by Dragons Den activity and group presentations
Year 10 – Literacy – oracy strategies, presentational language and skills through discussion tasks, debating ideas and final presentations
Year 11 – Careers and destinations – presentation on “Why go to Uni” by Herts University. Careers in Media talk, Unifrog activities
Sixth Form – Wellbeing and spirituality – Off site visit to STEP for the day
We hope the children have a fun and informative afternoon and we look forward to seeing them participate.
