Sixth Form Learning for Life
Sixth Form Learning for Life: Safety and Wellbeing Focus
In recent Learning for Life sessions, both Year 12 and Year 13 students have taken part in important workshops aimed at developing their awareness and safety when socialising with friends at university, when on a night out or at a house party.
Year 13 explored strategies for staying safe on nights out and dealing with aggression, including how to recognise signs that a drink may have been spiked and what steps to take if they feel they or others could be in danger.
Year 12 discussed the potential consequences of being found in possession of illegal substances, the risks of associating with others who may be involved in illegal activity, and how to respond if a friend becomes unwell or loses consciousness during a night out.
Personal development remains a central pillar of the Townsend Sixth Form experience, and we extend our thanks to STEP for delivering these invaluable and engaging sessions for our young adults.
