Big Garden Birdwatch
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, why not have a look at taking part in the Big Garden Birdwatch!
All you have to do is spend an hour watching the birds in your patch, between 24 and 26 January, and record the birds that land.

Townsend’s Got Talent!
Auditions for this years Creative Performing Arts Display – ‘Townsend’s Got Talent’ will be taking place on Thursday 30th & Friday 31st January in the Dance Studio at 1:20-1:50pm.
The show will be on Friday 21st March 2025 at 7pm in the Hall, students must be able to attend at this time and date to take part in auditions.
Students may come and practise for auditions on Wednesday 22nd & Thursday 23rd January in the Dance Studio at 1:20-1:50pm, where they will sign up and be given an audition slot for the next week. We are looking for any and all talents: Singing solos or group acts, musical instruments & bands, dances, magic tricks, acting of scenes group or monologue, poetry written or recited, stand up comedy, cultural dances/music and anything else you can think of!
Please remind your child to sign up and audition, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

GCSEpod – an extremely useful revision tool!
All GCSE students have access to GCSEpod and many already use it regularly.
For each subject, there are a series of 3-4 minute pods/videos that teach knowledge and then there are many different types of tasks to practise that knowledge so it sticks! GCSEpod claims that, if used regularly, a student can increase their grade by one grade!
If a student does not have an account, all they need to create one is their name, a self-selected username and password, their date of birth and the school name.
This 30 minute webinar is designed for parent/carers and students to help them get going.

Little Fishes Swimming Club

We are running a theatre trip for Years 8, 9, 10 & 12 in May to the West End to see ‘My Neighbour Totoro’ by the Royal Shakespeare Company.
The show has won lots of awards and we still have spaces. If your child would like to see the show, please make sure you pay for their ticket via School Gateway.
