The informative talk impartially discussed and educated students on the current political landscape in the UK and how the political system in the UK works. The floor was opened up to what laws would students bring in, if they were in power, and allowed opportunity to discuss and debate in a similar manner of that in Parliament. An excellent talk which broadened students perception of politicians and politics as they become voters themselves very soon.
All Year 12 students have also been given the opportunity to take part in a trip to the House of Commons, led by Mr Bremner, there are a few spaces available so if anyone is interested, they can make themselves known to Mr Bremner.

At Townsend, we are encouraging all students to use the CRAM model—a simple yet powerful approach to revision that helps with long-term retention and exam confidence.
Parents/carers can support their child by encouraging active recall, quizzing them on key topics, and helping them create a structured revision timetable. Together, we can ensure that students feel confident and prepared for their assessments.
For more tips on how to support your child’s learning, please visit Supporting learning at home | Parentkind.
Townsend Teaching and Learning Team.
