Parent/Carer Coffee Mornings
We will be holding informal coffee mornings once a month – the dates for the rest of this year are below.
Some months there may be a short presentation followed by the chance to ask questions to Kate our Wellbeing Lead, Ms. Philpott our SENDCO and Miss Siequien our Attendance Improvement Officer.
It’s also a great opportunity to share experiences and build a support network with other parents. If you would like to attend, please email well-being@townsend.herts.sch.uk

Homework Club- Update
The last Homework Club for the Summer term was on Tuesday 9th July so there will be no homework club on the last week of term.
Homework Club will start again on Tuesday 10th September.

Free Period Products
If you or your child need any period products for the summer holidays, we have some free packs available provided by DfE.
These include a range of sanitary towels, tampons and a pair of reusable period pants.
Please either call the school office on: 01727 853047 or email us on: admin@townsend.herts.sch.uk stating the size you require and we will keep a pack aside for you.

Are you ready to pick up the pace?
Join us for our summer challenge.
Students are invited to go for GOLD and read 3 books, read 2 and it’s SILVER and 1 book gets them the BRONZE. Hit the target and they will receive a medal.

Year 12 Golf Trip
Today some of our Year 12 students went on a trip to the Centurion Golf Club.
Our Year 12 students were able to take part in the trip due to a careers in golf programme. Our students experienced a 3 hour workshop in school with Jack Cole from the Golf Forum looking at the different career paths and jobs which are part of the golf industry.
This was then followed by the trip today which gave the students a behind the scenes tour of the Centurion Club which had a world class course and clubhouse and an opportunity to spend the afternoon watching part of the Ladies European Tour. Only 5 schools in Hertfordshire took part in this opportunity!
