We are pleased to be offering revision sessions during the Easter holidays for students in Year 11 and 13. Sessions will be led by our teaching staff and will be delivered over a period of six days: Wednesday 9th April till Wednesday 26th April (inclusive). Please find attached an overview of the sessions being offered. Parent/carers or students will need to sign up for each session via Clubs & Interventions on Edulink by Friday 14th March.
Please note the following:
· Morning sessions are 9:30am–12pm.
· Afternoon sessions are 12:30pm-3pm.
· Students may only enter the school via the Sixth Form entrance.
· A list of all sessions and their rooms will be displayed in the Sixth Form entrance.
· All sessions are taking place in either the Sixth Form block, Languages or Drama rooms.
· Students going to some sessions, such as Art or Science, will be met by their teacher in the Sixth Form and accompanied to their classroom, as the school has other users on site.
· In the lunch break (12pm-12:30pm), students may go off site or are invited to use the Sixth Form Hub (with microwave, kettle, etc).
· Students are advised to bring water with them, and lunch if they are staying for the full day.
· Year 11 students are not required to wear uniform.
· Edulink will only show the sessions that are relevant to the student.
Sessions were well received by students last year and we look forward to supporting Year 11 and 13 further in their preparation for this summer’s exams.

Please meet at Townsend School at 9am, where the group will begin the walk, supervised by staff. The aim is for everyone to be ready for pick-up around 4pm, but please note that this time may vary depending on the group’s pace or any unexpected detours along the way. More information about what to bring will be shared soon.
Lastly, the final expedition is scheduled for Friday 6th to Saturday 7th June, and we will provide further details as the date approaches.

This competition encourages students to explore the theme of air quality by designing innovative solutions to improve the air we breathe in indoor public spaces.
About the competition
Students are invited to select an indoor public space they frequent, such as a classroom, library, café, or cinema, and consider whether the air in that space is healthy and clean. They will then develop an idea or invention to enhance air quality in their chosen space. This could be a completely new concept or a creative re-imagining of existing solutions, such as ventilation systems, air filters, or other technologies.
Participants should:
The deadline for submissions is Friday 28th March, so please encourage your child to start brainstorming and designing soon! For more details and competition rules, visit the British Science Week website.
This is a wonderful chance for our students to showcase their creativity and scientific thinking while addressing an important global issue. We look forward to seeing their innovative ideas!
Best regards,
Mr Zafar

Please make sure that if your child borrows a tie from the school office, that they return it after each day. We are currently running low on borrowed ties.
